Pepperpot recipe

Ingredients
- 500 g beef
- 300 g pork
- 1 unit onion
- 3 unit garlic
- 1 tbsp thyme
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp allspice
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 2 tbsp hot pepper sauce
- 500 ml water
How to make Pepperpot
- Cut 500 g of beef and 500 g of pork into bite-sized pieces for uniform cooking.
- Chop 1 onion and mince 3 cloves of garlic before cooking to save time.
- In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat in oil until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add the cut beef and pork to the pot, browning the meat on all sides for about 7-10 minutes to develop flavor.
- Stir in 2 sprigs of thyme, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of allspice for seasoning.
- Pour in 400 ml of coconut milk and 300 ml of water, mixing everything thoroughly.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally until the meat is tender.
- Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving hot with rice or bread.
