Satay recipe
Deliciously grilled skewers with a creamy peanut sauce.
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken breast
- 100 g peanut butter
- 50 ml soy sauce
- 200 ml coconut milk
- 30 g brown sugar
- 30 ml lime juice
- 8 unit skewers
- 2 unit garlic
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp salt
How to make Satay
- Cut 500 g of chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl.
- Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce to the chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together 100 g of peanut butter, 100 ml of coconut milk, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon lime juice, 2 minced cloves of garlic, 1 teaspoon grated ginger, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, ensuring they are spaced evenly.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat while the skewers rest.
- Grill the skewers for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through and they are slightly charred.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve the grilled satay hot with peanut sauce on the side for dipping.
