Raclette recipe
Melted cheese bliss served with potatoes and pickles!
Ingredients
- 800 g raclette cheese
- 800 g new potatoes
- 200 g gherkins
- 200 g pickled onions
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 20 g fresh herbs
How to make Raclette
- Boil 500 g of new potatoes in salted water for about 15 minutes until they are tender.
- Drain the potatoes and keep them warm while you prepare the cheese.
- Slice 300 g of raclette cheese into thick, approximately 1 cm pieces.
- Set up a raclette grill or preheat your broiler on high for melting.
- Place the warm potatoes onto plates alongside 200 g of gherkins and 100 g of pickled onions.
- Add the sliced raclette cheese on top of the potatoes.
- Melt the cheese under the grill or on the raclette for about 5 minutes, until it is bubbly.
- Season with black pepper to taste, adjusting as you prefer.
- Garnish with freshly chopped herbs before serving.
- Enjoy the dish immediately while the cheese is gooey and hot.
