How to make Jiaozi dumplings

  1. Prepare 300 g of all-purpose flour and 150 ml of water; mix to form a dough and knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
  2. Chop 200 g of cabbage and 3 green onions finely. Set aside the ingredients in a bowl.
  3. In a bowl, combine the chopped vegetables with 250 g of ground pork, 1 tbsp of minced ginger, 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of sesame oil, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1/4 tsp of pepper; mix well.
  4. Roll the dough into small circles, about 8 cm in diameter, and place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly, ensuring no filling is exposed.
  6. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  7. Carefully add the dumplings to the boiling water and cook until they float, about 5-7 minutes.
  8. Use a slotted spoon to remove the dumplings and let them rest on a plate for a moment before serving.
  9. Serve the dumplings hot, accompanied by soy sauce for dipping.
