Bandeja paisa recipe

Ingredients
- 400 g red beans
- 300 g pork belly
- 300 g ground beef
- 200 g chorizo sausage
- 300 g white rice
- 2 unit fried plantains
- 2 unit avocado
- 4 unit egg
- 4 unit arepas
- 10 g cilantro
- 1 unit onion
- 2 unit garlic
- 30 ml olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
How to make Bandeja paisa
- Soak 400 g of red beans in water overnight; drain and set aside for cooking.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add 200 g of diced pork belly; fry until crispy, about 10 minutes, then set aside on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add 250 g of ground beef along with 1 chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves; cook until browned for 7-10 minutes.
- Fry 200 g of sliced chorizo in the skillet until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes; then set aside with the pork belly.
- Prepare 300 g of white rice according to the package instructions, cooking until fluffy and tender, about 20 minutes.
- In a large platter, arrange the cooked beans, crispy pork belly, ground beef, and chorizo neatly.
- Add 2 sliced fried plantains and garnish the platter with sliced avocado and fresh cilantro on top.
- Serve immediately while warm, offering additional sides like arepas if desired.
