Ingredients
- 300 g rice
- 800 ml water
- 400 g mixed seafood
- 1 unit onion
- 3 unit garlic
- 2 unit tomato
- 1 unit bell pepper
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
How to make Arroz de marisco
- Chop 1 onion, 2 garlic cloves, 1 bell pepper, and 1 tomato into small pieces before starting.
- In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
- Sauté the chopped onion for 2 minutes until it becomes translucent and fragrant.
- Add the minced garlic and diced bell pepper, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the chopped tomato and cook until it breaks down, about 1 minute.
- Add 1 cup of rice and stir for 2 minutes to lightly toast the rice grains.
- Pour in 2 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Season the mixture with 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low, add 300 g of mixed seafood, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Fluff the rice and seafood mixture gently with a fork before serving to combine well.
- Serve hot in bowls, garnished with additional paprika or fresh herbs if desired.
