Æbleskiver recipe
Delicious Danish pancakes, perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 300 ml milk
- 3 unit eggs
- 50 g sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 50 g butter
- 100 g jam
How to make Æbleskiver
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together 250 g of all-purpose flour, 50 g of sugar, 2 tsp of baking powder, and 1/2 tsp of salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat 3 eggs, then whisk in 500 ml of milk until well blended.
- Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth without lumps.
- Heat an æbleskiver pan over medium heat, placing about 1/2 tsp of butter in each cavity and allowing it to melt completely.
- Pour the batter into each cavity until it is filled halfway, making sure not to overfill them.
- Cook until the edges of the batter turn golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Using a skewer, carefully flip each æbleskiver and cook until browned on the opposite side, about another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from the pan and allow to cool slightly before serving with jam.
