Pihvi recipe

Ingredients
- 800 g beef steak
- 2 unit onion
- 800 g potato
- 50 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
How to make Pihvi
- Season 250 g of beef steak with salt and black pepper; set aside for a few minutes.
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Add the steak to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness, until browned.
- Slice 1 onion thinly and add it to the same skillet, sautéing for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Boil 300 g of potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes; drain well.
- Mash the potatoes with 30 g of butter, seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Plate the steak topped with the sautéed onions and a generous side of mashed potatoes.
