Ingredients
- 600 g beef
- 2 unit onion
- 4 unit garlic
- 2 tbsp berbere spice
- 50 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 unit green pepper
- 2 unit tomato
How to make Tibs
- Cut 500 g of beef into bite-sized cubes, seasoning with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper.
- Melt 50 g of butter in a large skillet over medium heat for 1 minute.
- Chop 1 onion, and mince 2 cloves of garlic before adding to the skillet.
- Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic for about 5 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of berbere spice, mixing thoroughly into the ingredients in the skillet.
- Add the seasoned beef cubes to the skillet, cooking until browned for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Chop 1 green pepper and dice 1 tomato, adding them to the skillet after browning the beef.
- Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to combine flavors and soften vegetables.
- Serve the tibs hot with injera or rice, garnishing as desired.
