Vakalolo recipe

Ingredients
- 200 g tapioca flour
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 150 g brown sugar
- 4 unit banana leaves
- 1 tsp salt
How to make Vakalolo
- In a mixing bowl, combine 250 g of tapioca flour, 100 g of brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually pour in 300 ml of coconut milk while stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
- Line a steaming dish with banana leaves to prevent sticking and enhance flavor.
- Pour the smooth mixture into the lined steaming dish, then cover the top with additional banana leaves.
- Steam the dish on medium heat for about 60 minutes, until it has set and feels firm to the touch.
- Once set, allow it to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice the Vakalolo into pieces and serve warm or at room temperature.
