- 400 ml coconut milk
- 300 g rice
- 600 ml water
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 unit banana
How to make Bati
- Rinse 250 g of rice under cold water until the water runs clear, about 2-3 minutes.
- In a pot, combine rinsed rice, 400 ml of coconut milk, 300 ml of water, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until bubbles form.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 20 minutes until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, slice 2 ripe bananas into thin rounds and set aside for serving.
- Once the rice is cooked, fluff it gently with a fork, ensuring it's light and airy.
- Transfer the rice to a serving dish, and evenly top it with the sliced bananas.
- Serve the dish warm and enjoy the sweet combination.
