Zouza recipe

Ingredients
- 800 g chicken
- 2 unit onion
- 4 unit garlic
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 2 unit lime
- 2 tbsp ginger
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp oil
How to make Zouza
- In a large pot, heat 2 tbsp of oil over medium heat until it shimmers slightly.
- Add 1 chopped onion to the pot and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Add 600 g of chicken pieces to the pot and brown them on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- Pour in 400 ml of coconut milk and add the juice of 1 lime to the mixture.
- Stir in 1 tbsp of minced ginger, 1 tbsp of curry powder, 1 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of pepper.
- Mix everything together thoroughly and bring to a simmer.
- Cover the pot and let it simmer for 25 minutes until the chicken is cooked and tender.
- Once cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the hot chicken curry with rice or bread on the side for a complete meal.
