Conch fritters recipe
Crispy conch fritters, a taste of the Caribbean!
Ingredients
- 400 g conch meat
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 unit green bell pepper
- 1 unit onion
- 2 tsp garlic
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 100 ml water
- 500 ml oil
How to make Conch fritters
- Finely chop 200 g of conch meat, 50 g of green bell pepper, and 50 g of onion.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 150 g of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, ½ tsp of salt, and ¼ tsp of black pepper.
- Add the chopped conch, green bell pepper, onion, 2 cloves of minced garlic, and 200 ml of water; stir until well combined.
- Heat 500 ml of oil in a deep pan over medium heat until shimmering.
- Carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove fritters and drain them on paper towels. Serve hot.
