How to make Manti

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 500 g of all-purpose flour, 200 ml of water, and 5 g of salt to form a smooth dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Finely chop 1 onion and mix with 500 g of ground beef, 5 g of salt, and 3 g of black pepper until well combined.
  5. Roll out the rested dough into a thin sheet about 2 mm thick and cut it into 5 cm squares.
  6. Place a spoonful of the meat filling in the center of each square of dough.
  7. Fold the square over to enclose the filling and pinch the edges firmly to seal.
  8. Prepare a steaming pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat.
  9. Place the manti in the steamer, cover, and steam them for 30-40 minutes until the dough is tender.
  10. Once cooked, remove the manti from the steamer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
