Hummus recipe
Creamy, tangy, and perfect for dipping!
Ingredients
- 400 g canned chickpeas
- 120 g tahini
- 60 ml olive oil
- 60 ml lemon juice
- 2 unit garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 60 ml water
How to make Hummus
- Drain and rinse 400 g of canned chickpeas under cold water in a colander until clean.
- In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, 60 g of tahini, 30 ml of olive oil, and 30 ml of lemon juice.
- Add 1 clove of garlic, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of cumin to the food processor.
- Blend all ingredients until smooth, about 2-3 minutes, adding water to reach desired consistency.
- Taste the hummus, adjusting salt or lemon juice to your liking as necessary.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl carefully with a spatula.
- Drizzle olive oil over the hummus and sprinkle paprika on top for garnish.
- Serve immediately with warm pita or store in the fridge for later.
