- 500 g cassava
- 250 ml water
- 1 tsp salt
- 200 ml coconut milk
How to make Cassava bread
- Begin by peeling 400 g of cassava and grate it finely using a grater.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated cassava with 200 ml of water and 1 teaspoon of salt, stirring until mixed well.
- Strain this mixture through cheesecloth or a fine sieve to remove excess liquid, ensuring it's dry.
- Transfer the cassava pulp to a separate bowl and blend with 200 ml of coconut milk until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cassava mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming a thin layer.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for about 30-40 minutes until the edges are golden brown and firm.
- Remove the cassava bread from the oven and let it cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before cutting.
- Cut into squares for serving and enjoy warm.
