Palava sauce recipe

Ingredients
- 2 unit red bell pepper
- 1 unit onion
- 4 unit garlic
- 60 ml vegetable oil
- 100 g tomato paste
- 500 ml chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
How to make Palava sauce
- Begin by finely chopping 1 red bell pepper and 1 onion and setting them aside for cooking.
- In a pan, heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves; sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped red bell pepper and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until soft and fragrant.
- Mix in 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, stirring to combine.
- Season the sauce with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Serve hot as a condiment with your choice of dishes.
