Mashed taro recipe
Creamy and delightful mashed taro, a tropical treat!
Ingredients
- 800 g taro
- 200 ml coconut milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 50 g butter
How to make Mashed taro
- Peel the taro and chop it into 1 cm cubes, discarding any tough sections.
- Place the cubed taro into a pot, cover with salted water, and boil for about 15 minutes until tender.
- After boiling, drain the taro and return it to the pot over low heat for moisture evaporation.
- Add 200 ml of coconut milk and 30 g of butter to the taro in the pot.
- Use a potato masher to mash the taro until smooth and creamy, tasting and adjusting salt as needed.
- Transfer the mashed taro to a serving bowl and serve warm, as a delicious side dish.
