Frango piri piri recipe

Ingredients
- 1.5 unit whole chicken
- 60 ml olive oil
- 30 ml lemon juice
- 4 unit garlic
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 30 g fresh parsley
How to make Frango piri piri
- Prepare the grill, setting it to medium-high heat at around 200°C for optimal cooking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 100 ml of olive oil, 50 ml of lemon juice, 4 minced garlic cloves, 2 tsp of paprika, 1 tsp of cayenne pepper, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well blended, creating a spice paste.
- Rub the prepared spice mixture all over a whole chicken, ensuring every surface is evenly coated.
- Place the chicken on the preheated grill and cook for about 45 minutes, turning it occasionally for even cooking.
- Check for doneness by inserting a thermometer into the thickest part, ensuring it reaches an internal temperature of 75°C.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before cutting.
- Garnish the chicken with a handful of freshly chopped parsley before serving.
