Suya recipe
Spicy, grilled skewers bursting with flavor!
Ingredients
- 600 g beef sirloin
- 100 g ground peanuts
- 60 ml vegetable oil
- 1 unit onion
- 3 unit garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 8 unit skewers
How to make Suya
- Soak the skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Cut 500 g of beef sirloin into thin strips and place them in a mixing bowl.
- Blend 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic, and 1 inch of ginger with 1 teaspoon of cayenne and 1 teaspoon of salt into a smooth paste.
- Combine the blended paste with 100 g of ground peanuts and 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil until well mixed.
- Coat the beef strips thoroughly in the mixture and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat before threading the beef onto the skewers.
- Thread the marinated beef strips onto the soaked skewers tightly.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
- Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve on a plate with your choice of sides.
