- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 150 ml water
- 400 g ground chicken
- 1 unit onion
- 10 g ginger
- 5 g garlic
- 20 g coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
How to make Momo
- In a mixing bowl, combine 300 g of all-purpose flour with about 150 ml of water, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth, then cover with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, finely chop 1 onion, 1 inch of ginger, 2 garlic cloves, and a handful of coriander leaves and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix 500 g of ground chicken with the chopped ingredients, 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of pepper until well combined.
- Roll out the rested dough into thin circles, each approximately 10 cm wide, and place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center.
- Moisten the edges of the dough with water, fold, and pinch to seal the momos tightly.
- Prepare a steamer and steam the momos for 15-20 minutes until the dough is translucent and the filling is cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the momos from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving.
