Bua recipe

Ingredients
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 800 g taro
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 unit banana
How to make Bua
- Peel and chop 500 g of taro into small pieces, about 2 cm in size.
- Boil the chopped taro in enough water to cover for about 20 minutes, until tender.
- Drain the taro and transfer it to a bowl to cool slightly.
- Mash the taro until smooth using a fork or potato masher.
- Mix in 400 ml of coconut milk until well blended and creamy.
- Add 100 g of sugar and 3 g of salt, stirring until fully combined.
- Slice 2 bananas into thin rounds, being careful not to break them.
- Gently fold the banana slices into the taro mixture until just combined.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish, smoothing the top evenly.
- Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes, until set and the top is slightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve warm or chilled, garnished with extra banana slices if desired.
