How to make Muk

  1. Peel and chop 500 g of taro into small pieces, about 2 cm in size.
  2. Boil the chopped taro in salted water for about 20 minutes, until tender.
  3. Drain the taro and transfer it to a mixing bowl.
  4. Mash the taro using a fork or potato masher until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour in 400 ml of coconut milk, mixing until well combined.
  6. Add 100 g of sugar and stir until fully incorporated.
  7. Slice 2 bananas into rounds, avoiding any breaking of the slices.
  8. Gently fold the banana rounds into the taro mixture with a spatula or spoon.
  9. Serve the Muk warm or chilled, depending on your preference.
  10. Garnish with extra banana slices on top if desired, just before serving.
