Kokoda recipe
A refreshing and zesty fish ceviche from PNG.
Ingredients
- 500 g white fish fillet
- 100 ml lime juice
- 200 ml coconut cream
- 2 unit tomato
- 1 unit cucumber
- 1 unit red onion
- 1 unit chili pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
How to make Kokoda
- Dice 500 g of white fish fillet into small cubes about 1 cm each.
- Combine the diced fish with 200 ml of lime juice in a mixing bowl.
- Let the fish marinate for 15 minutes until it turns opaque.
- Chop 1 tomato, 1 cucumber, ½ red onion, and 1 chili pepper into small pieces.
- Add the marinated fish to the chopped vegetables and mix gently to combine.
- Stir in 200 ml of coconut cream, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients well until fully combined.
- Serve chilled on a plate as a refreshing appetizer.
