How to make Musakhan

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) to start preparing the Musakhan.
  2. Season 1 whole chicken with salt and black pepper, then rub 2 tablespoons of sumac herb all over the chicken.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

  8. Serve the roasted chicken over pieces of flatbread, ensuring to include the caramelized onions on top.
  9. Sprinkle 30 g of toasted pine nuts over the chicken and onions before serving.
