Palusami recipe

Ingredients
- 600 g taro
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 1 unit onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 unit banana leaves
How to make Palusami
- Peel and chop 500 g of taro into small pieces, about 1 cm each.
- Boil the taro in salted water for about 30 minutes until tender.
- Drain the taro and transfer it to a bowl, then mash it well.
- Mix in 1 cup of coconut milk and 1 finely chopped onion.
- Prepare banana leaves by cutting them into squares.
- Wrap portions of the taro mixture in the banana leaves, securing with twine.
- Place the wrapped parcels in a steamer for about 30 minutes until heated through.
- Serve warm and enjoy the creamy, savory goodness.
