Ingredients
- 4 unit ripe bananas
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 100 g sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
How to make Ladob
- Peel and slice 6 ripe bananas into thick rounds, about 2 cm each, for even cooking.
- In a saucepan, combine 400 ml of coconut milk, 100 g of sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, 1 tsp of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar completely, which should take about 5 minutes.
- Once sugar is dissolved, add the banana slices to the saucepan gently, ensuring they are coated in the liquid.
- Simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the banana slices are soft and tender.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a few minutes; the sauce will thicken as it cools.
- Serve warm or chilled in dessert bowls, garnished with extra cinnamon if desired.
