Potica recipe

Ingredients
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 250 ml milk
- 100 g butter
- 100 g sugar
- 10 g yeast
- 200 g walnuts
- 1 unit egg
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
How to make Potica
- In a small bowl, dissolve 15 g of yeast in 100 ml of warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it bubbles.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 500 g of all-purpose flour, 50 g of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 50 g of melted butter. Mix well.
- Add the yeast mixture and 1 beaten egg to the flour mixture. Knead for 10 minutes until you have a smooth and elastic dough.
- Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, until it doubles in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape, spread 200 g of ground walnuts and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract over it, then roll it tightly.
- Place the rolled dough in a greased loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 45 minutes, until golden brown.
