Passatelli recipe
Delicious homemade passatelli, a true Italian delight!
Ingredients
- 150 g bread crumbs
- 100 g parmesan cheese
- 3 unit eggs
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 unit broth
How to make Passatelli
- In a large bowl, mix together 300 g of bread crumbs, 100 g of grated parmesan, 2 beaten eggs, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1 teaspoon of salt until well combined.
- Knead the mixture lightly on a clean surface for about 5 minutes until you form a smooth dough.
- Roll the dough into thin ropes approximately 1 cm thick, then cut them into small pieces about 2 cm long.
- Bring 2 liters of broth to a rolling boil in a large pot over high heat.
- Once boiling, carefully add the passatelli pieces to the broth.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the passatelli float to the surface, indicating they are done.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the passatelli from the broth and allow to drain briefly.
- Serve the passatelli hot, garnished with extra parmesan if desired.
