Djerma recipe

Ingredients
- 500 g beef
- 2 unit onion
- 400 g tomatoes
- 200 g carrots
- 300 g potatoes
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 unit water
How to make Djerma
- Cut 500 g of beef into evenly sized cubes for even cooking and season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
- In a pot, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat for about 1 minute.
- Add the beef cubes to the pot and brown them on all sides for about 10 minutes.
- Chop 1 onion and add it to the pot; sauté the onion until it becomes translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add 400 g of chopped tomatoes, 2 sliced carrots, and 300 g of diced potatoes; stir everything together well and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in 1 liter of water and bring to a boil; then reduce heat to low, covering the pot.
- Simmer the contents for 60 minutes until the beef is tender and the flavors meld together well.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed; serve hot over rice or fresh bread for a wholesome meal.
