How to make Samosa

  1. Boil 3 medium potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain and mash them.
  2. Mix the mashed potatoes with 100 g of peas, 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, and 1 teaspoon of coriander powder.
  3. Chop 1 onion and sauté it in 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the sautéed onion to the potato mixture, stirring well to combine all ingredients evenly.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine 250 g of all-purpose flour with enough water to form a smooth dough.
  6. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes to relax the gluten.
  7. Roll out the dough into thin circles on a floured surface, and cut them into halves.
  8. Fill each half-circle with a spoonful of the potato mixture, folding and sealing the edges tightly.
  9. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat for frying the samosas until hot.
  10. Carefully add the samosas to the hot oil, frying them in batches until golden brown, about 5 minutes each.
  11. Remove the samosas from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil before serving.
  12. Serve the hot samosas with chutney or yogurt for dipping.
