Gurbansak recipe

Ingredients
- 500 g lamb
- 2 unit onion
- 2 unit carrot
- 300 g rice
- 600 ml water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
How to make Gurbansak
- Chop 1 onion and slice 2 carrots into thin pieces. Measure out 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and 2 cups of rice.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the chopped onion to the pot and sauté for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Stir in 500 g of diced lamb and cook for 8-10 minutes, browning on all sides.
- Add the sliced carrots to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes until they soften.
- Measure 2 cups of rice, 4 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Pour into the pot.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
- Once cooked, fluff the rice with a fork before serving hot, garnished as desired.
