Delicious, soft roti perfect for any meal!
Ingredients
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 250 ml water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
How to make Roti
- In a bowl, combine 250 g of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt evenly.
- Gradually add 150 ml of water to the flour mixture, mixing with your hands until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Once rested, divide the dough into 6 equal balls for shaping.
- Roll each ball into a flat circle about 15 cm in diameter, ensuring even thickness.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
- Cook each roti for 1-2 minutes on each side until brown spots appear and the surface is cooked.
- Brush each cooked roti with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil while they are warm before serving.
