Ingredients
- 600 g jackfish fillets
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cornmeal
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 500 ml oil
How to make Fried jackfish
- Rinse 4 jackfish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of cornmeal, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper thoroughly.
- Dredge each dry fillet in the flour mixture, ensuring even coverage on all sides.
- Heat 1 cup of oil in a frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
- Carefully place fillets in hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip the fillets and fry for another 4-5 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the fillets from the oil, draining excess oil on paper towels.
- Serve hot with a garnish of lemon or your choice.
