Ingredients
- 500 g beef
- 2 unit onion
- 3 unit tomato
- 4 unit garlic
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 500 ml water
How to make Sishwala
- Chop 1 onion and 2 cloves of garlic, set aside for later use.
- In a pot, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot, sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add 500 g of diced beef to the pot and brown the meat on all sides for about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Chop 2 tomatoes and set them aside for later use.
- Add the chopped tomatoes to the pot along with 300 ml of water.
- Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper, stir to combine.
- Cover the pot and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until beef is tender.
- Serve hot with rice or bread, ensuring each plate has ample meat and sauce.
