Naengmyeon recipe
Chilled noodles perfect for hot summer days!
Ingredients
- 400 g naengmyeon noodles
- 300 g beef brisket
- 1 cucumber
- 100 g radish
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 ice cubes
How to make Naengmyeon
- Cook 400 g of naengmyeon noodles in boiling water for 4-5 minutes, then rinse under cold water and drain.
- Boil 300 g of beef brisket in water until tender for about 1 hour, then slice thinly against the grain.
- Julienne 1 cucumber into thin strips for a decorative touch.
- Julienne 100 g of radish into thin strips to complement the dish.
- Hard boil 2 eggs in simmering water for 10 minutes, cool in ice water, peel, and cut them in half.
- In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon of sugar; stir until sugar dissolves completely.
- In a bowl, place the cooled naengmyeon noodles as the base.
- Top the noodles with the sliced beef, cucumber strips, radish strips, and the halved hard-boiled eggs.
- Add a handful of ice cubes to keep the dish refreshing before serving.
