How to make Kugelis

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grate 1 kg of potatoes and 1 onion finely, then place in a clean cloth and squeeze out excess moisture.
  3. Cook 200 g of chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 eggs, 250 ml of milk, 100 g of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of black pepper until combined.
  5. Add the crispy bacon, grated potatoes, and onion to the egg mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the combined mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into portions and serving.
