Ingredients
- 400 g cassava flour
- 800 ml water
- 1 tsp salt
How to make Ubugari
- In a large pot, bring 800 ml of water to a boil over medium heat, which takes around 5-7 minutes.
- Gradually add 400 g of cassava flour while constantly stirring to prevent lumps from forming.
- Add 1 teaspoon of salt and continue stirring until the mixture slightly thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
- Cook the mixture for approximately 10 minutes, stirring regularly to maintain a smooth consistency.
- Once the mixture is thick and smooth, remove it from the heat to stop cooking.
- Using a spoon, shape the mixture into balls about the size of your palm for serving.
- Allow the ubugari to rest for a few minutes before plating, letting it set slightly.
- Serve the ubugari warm alongside your favorite sauce or stew for dipping.
