How to make Callaloo soup

  1. Wash 400 g of callaloo leaves thoroughly under running water until clean and remove any tough stems.
  2. Chop the callaloo leaves into small pieces and set aside for later use.

  8. Season the soup with 1 tsp of thyme, 1/1 tsp of black pepper, and 1/1 tsp of salt, then cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  9. Blend the mixture until smooth using an immersion blender or regular blender, ensuring no chunks remain.
  10. Serve the callaloo soup hot in bowls, garnished with a sprinkle of black pepper if desired.
