Ingredients
- 50 ml olive oil
- 300 g chicken
- 300 g rabbit
- 150 g green beans
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 tsp saffron
- 400 g rice
- 1 water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
How to make Paella valenciana
- In a paella pan, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until hot and shimmering.
- Add 300 g of chicken pieces and 300 g of rabbit to the pan, browning them for about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in 2 chopped tomatoes and 150 g of green beans, cooking for another 3 minutes.
- Add 400 g of rice, a pinch of saffron, and 1 liter of water to the mixture.
- Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and mix well before bringing to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes, until the rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid.
- Remove the paella from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to settle before serving.
- Serve hot directly from the pan for a traditional presentation.
