Fattoush recipe
A refreshing salad with crispy bread and vibrant veggies.
Ingredients
- 200 g pita bread
- 200 g cucumber
- 200 g tomato
- 100 g radish
- 50 g green onion
- 30 g parsley
- 20 g mint
- 30 ml lemon juice
- 50 ml olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
How to make Fattoush
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes.
- Toast 2 pieces of pita bread in the oven until crispy and golden brown, about 10 minutes.
- Remove the toasted pita bread from the oven and let it cool slightly before cutting.
- Cut the toasted pita into bite-sized pieces and set them aside in a bowl.
- Chop 1 cucumber, 1 tomato, and 3 radishes into small pieces for the salad.
- Chop 2 green onions, a handful of parsley, and a handful of mint leaves finely.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped vegetables and pita pieces evenly.
- Drizzle with the juice of 1 lemon and 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then season with ½ teaspoon of salt and black pepper to taste.
- Toss the salad well to ensure even distribution of flavors.
- Serve the salad immediately to enjoy the crisp texture.
