How to make Muhammara

  1. Roast 3 red bell peppers over an open flame or in the oven until charred and soft, about 20 minutes.
  2. Let the roasted peppers cool for a few minutes before peeling off the skin and removing the seeds.
  3. In a food processor, combine the peeled roasted peppers and 100 g of walnuts.
  4. Add 2 cloves of garlic, 4 tablespoons of pomegranate molasses, and 4 tablespoons of olive oil to the bowl.
  5. Include 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
  6. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, adjusting seasoning if necessary.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl.
  8. Serve the Muhammara with pita bread or fresh vegetables for dipping.
