How to make Boulma

  1. Chop 1 onion, 1 tomato, and 1 carrot into small pieces and set aside for your dish.
  2. In a large pot, heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat for 1 minute.
  3. Sauté the chopped onion in the heated oil until it becomes translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add 800 g of chicken pieces to the pot and brown them on all sides for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Stir in the chopped tomato, carrot, and 2 minced garlic cloves with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper; cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add 400 g of rice to the pot and stir well to combine with the ingredients.
  7. Pour in 800 ml of water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
  8. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
  9. Fluff the rice gently with a fork and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving hot.
  10. Serve the Boulma in a dish, enjoying it with family and friends.
