How to make Fufu

  1. Peel 300 g of cassava and 300 g of plantains, then chop them into small cubes for even cooking.
  2. In a large pot, bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil, then add the chopped cassava and plantains to cook until soft.
  3. Carefully drain the water, using a colander, then mash the cassava and plantains together until smooth and combined.
  4. Transfer the mash back to the pot and knead over low heat for about 5-7 minutes until the mixture becomes stretchy and pliable.
  5. Serve the warm Fufu on a plate, pairing it with your favorite soup or sauce for dipping.
