Ingredients
- 600 g beef steak
- 200 g bacon
- 200 g ham
- 200 g cheese
- 100 g lettuce
- 2 tomatoes
- 100 g mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns
How to make Chivito
- Chop 200 g of bacon into small pieces and measure out 600 g of beef steak, then season with salt and black pepper.
- In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until crispy, then transfer to paper towels to drain excess fat.
- Season the 600 g beef steak on both sides with salt and black pepper.
- On a grill or skillet, cook the seasoned beef steak for 4-6 minutes on each side for your desired level of doneness, until browned.
- While the steak cooks, take 2 slices of ham and warm them in the same skillet until heated through.
- Place a slice of cheese on top of the ham and allow it to melt, stirring occasionally, about 1-2 minutes.
- For assembly, take a burger bun and add a layer of lettuce, followed by slices of tomato.
- On the bottom half of the bun, place the grilled steak, top it with the ham and melted cheese, and add the crispy bacon pieces on top.
- Spread mayonnaise on the top bun, then place it on the assembled ingredients to complete the burger.
- Serve the chivito immediately with a side of fries or a fresh salad.
